Reflection on Lecture Week 6
In the lecture on the 5th of March 2018 the Lecturer was discovering the following topics Cloud Computing and Relational Databases.
In regards to the lecture Haider was giving very clear information on Utility computing. this gave me a clearer understanding of processing , data storage and networking, which is called "rent " in technological terms. Furthermore , the term Cloud is a Metaphor for the Internet, for instance Google : G-Mail, Google Maps , Amazon etc. this was clearly explained which i didn't know much before and it is a very useful platform. That way through Cloud people and Organisation use it to save important data.
In the Lecture Haider was discussing the importance of Cloud in particular. He was relating it to business purposes and how it is useful in a working environment. As this is a platform that keep data safe whether it is business related or personal use.Also it is very convenient and time consuming as it is available anywhere and at any time if you have internet connection which majority of people have anyways.
Seminar
Moving on to our Seminar, i understand the practical side of Management systems. as i believe in order for me to understand something i need to do it practically to understand the concept of what is being introduced to me. online resources have many benefits such as saving money by not needing to print, at the same time it is another advantage by saving paper and to be eco friendly to the environment. In relation to this example we needed to produce tables to work out formulas that are more convenient do on Excel and to use the formula, because once you know how to use it and what the right formula.
Group Work
As we are working in group i feel like i am getting a better understanding of what we are getting taught in the lectures and seminars as we all share and explain it to each other and take part in when we work in groups. By using examples from the board and following our teacher gives me a better indication.
